Gary and Sheena met in 2003, married in 2007, and created Definition Photography out of Gary’s passion for photography and Sheena’s love for all things weddings. Together, they rely on two critical perspectives that guide them through the planning of your wedding to capturing your most important moments to designing your perfect wedding album.

Gary first held a camera at age 16 and has never let it go since: “My interest in photography started when I began to see how ordinary, everyday mundane events can easily be transformed into special, creative, rare and artistic moments in time if given the right pair of eyes… and camera. For me, photography represents a new way of defining the world around us.”

Gary began to refine his photographic skills while travelling the world (see the “Global Journeys” collection) and capturing the uniqueness of the Earth and its inhabitants. He has photographed people and places throughout Europe, Africa, Central America, India, South East Asia, and North America. Several popular prints are sold around Toronto in local coffee shops. Most importantly, photography has allowed Gary to capture peoples’ most precious wedding moments and events in their lives and provide them with defining images that will endure a lifetime.

After meeting Sheena and creating Definition Photography, the two of them began to photograph weddings with their unique photojournalistic approach that combines classic photography with a fresh, modern style. Gary and Sheena do not rely on any digital editing tricks or trendy styles to create your images. Instead, the two of them focus their passion on what they do best – capturing real moments that stand on their own right out of the camera. Their goal is to create a vibrant documentation of your wedding day that will be just as compelling today as it will be long into the future.

Gary and Sheena are based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They live with their daughter, Evi, and their loyal dog/best friend/model named Mr. Brown whom they both adore.
